Request a Council Tax refund If you have overpaid your council tax, you may be entitled to a refund. You can request a refund using this form. However, before any refund is processed, we will check to identify any debts you owe to the council which will be deducted from any amount refunded to you. This applies to any debt to the council regardless of its age or type. We will also check any previous claims for Council Tax support to make sure the refund is correct. By submitting this form you are signing this agreement electronically. This is the legal equivalent of a manual signature. If you are entitled to a refund, allow 14 days for it to be processed.
