Other help

Approachable Parenting

provides support to parents through parenting programmes, Sparklers (parent peer mentors), doulas, counsellors, and workshops on various relevant topics. Parents who attend their services come to develop their knowledge and skills or may have some concerns about raising their family in this modern world. The doulas service provides support to pregnant mums before labour, during labour, and after birth.

exists to make a positive difference for children, young people, and families in Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

is an online community for parents that provides information and support to make family life easier and happier.

Mumsnet

provides parents with knowledge, advice, and support on everything from conception to childbirth and from babies to teenagers.

Noah's Star

is a charity that supports families of premature and sick babies within the West Midlands.

St. Paul's Community Development Trust

The has a new early years and wellbeing service for children and families. This service aims to make sure every child under 5 years old in Â鶹ÊÓƵ gets an equal chance to have the best start in life.

Baby Buddy mobile application (app)

The by Best Beginnings has been developed to give every child the best start in life.

It is an award winning, free, advert-free pregnancy and early parenting app, co-created by parents and healthcare professionals for all parents including:

  • fathers,
  • LGBTQ+ parents
  • single parents.

The app is shown to improve breast feeding rates, parent infant bonding, and increase knowledge and confidence in expectant and new parents.

Baby Buddy is a friend in your pocket and contains interactive, personalised videos and articles over a wide range of topics including:

  • infant feeding
  • mental health
  • relationships and preparing for birth
  • making choices
  • child development and growth

Family Lives

provides targeted early intervention and crisis support to families.

They offer emotional support, information, advice, and guidance on parenting and family life.

helps individuals understand what is going on in their relationships and improve things.

Safe Families

supports children, families, and care leavers to overcome challenges at an early stage or in crisis.

Welcome Change

Welcome Change provides safe and welcoming spaces in which people can access support, build skills and confidence, improve their health and wellbeing and become actively engaged in society.

Home-Start

is a network of trained volunteers and experts who help families with young children through challenging times.

There are many Home-Start groups across the UK. These groups provide a space for parents to gather, meet, talk, and create their local support network.

Some Home-Start groups offer breastfeeding support at their centres or through volunteers who visit your home to support you.
