Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board

Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Partnership works with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board, which is managed through the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth Service.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board is a group of young people from Â鶹ÊÓƵ aged 11 to 18 years old.

They work with Â鶹ÊÓƵ and other partners to make sure that the voices of young people are reflected in policy development and service delivery. This includes feeding into the work of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ City Partnership Board.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board aims to:

  • promote meaningful engagement with young people
  • connect them with the current work of partners around Â鶹ÊÓƵ
  • help create a city that provides for and benefits all generations

Members of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board are involved with:

  • Youth Parliament
  • social activism
  • the Young People's Independent Advisory Group
  • the Young Women's Independent Advisory Group

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board is coordinated by Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth Service, which sits within the council. This includes senior youth workers and youth support workers.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Youth City Board has attended events such as:

  • Â鶹ÊÓƵ YouthCon
  • the Young Inspectors Residential
  • meetings with the West Midlands Police
