Support for sexual and reproductive health

One of the mandated public health services the council is responsible for commissioning is sexual and reproductive health services, this includes the provision of access to testing for sexually transmitted disease and HIV testing, but doesn’t include infertility treatment or HIV treatment and care.

The council commissioned sexual and reproductive health services from which is a partnership of organisations providing access to ‘’, drop in clinics and access to testing and treatment through a network of over 200 GPs and pharmacies across the city.

The service also includes specific targeted services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans individuals, black and minority ethnic individuals and young people.

Utilising findings from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Solihull sexual health needs assessment, conducted June 2021 to August 2021, and consultations with citizens and key stakeholders, we have developed a sexual and reproductive health strategy.
