A34 and A38 blue cycle routes
We’re encouraging everyone to give Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s A34 New Town Row/High Street and A38 Bristol Road/Bristol Street cycle routes a go!
The new, blue surfaced routes provide wide, two-way cycle routes which are separated from other traffic wherever possible. They also have dedicated signals for cyclists at major junctions.
- In the north of Â鶹ÊÓƵ, the A34 route provides an easy route by bike between Heathfield Road, Birchfield and the city centre. Download an A34 cycle route map.
- In the south of Â鶹ÊÓƵ, the A38 route provides an easy route by bike between Selly Oak and the city centre. Download an A38 cycle route map.

Think BLUE, let cyclists through
Where the blue cycle routes cross central reservations or side roads drivers need to give way to cyclists. Why not consider leaving the car at home and giving the new routes a go?
