Joining a LHIB
By joining the LHIB in your constituency, you will help improve the way the council manage your homes and the area where you live, by
- acting as a lead consultative board, for the council, for housing related issues in its constituency
- representing tenants and leaseholders at other meetings, and in other forums, where issues relevant to LHIB are discussed
- effectively scrutinising the performance of housing services, and challenging areas of poor performance within its constituency
- making decisions and recommendations on the spending of their funds, and taking part in consultations organised by the council and others
- working with your tenant participation officer and the local housing team to identify priorities and develop housing priority plans
