We’re reforming the way the council operates, shifting our focus from crisis to prevention and increasing the pace and scale of economic growth.
Lots of progress has, and is being made, through a variety of schemes and initiatives across the city, but we cannot take our eye off the ball.
- We’ll be delivering new ways of working,
- We will increase our efforts to help and support individuals and families at the early stages of an issue or crisis in their lives.
- And we’ll focus on infrastructure, including social and affordable housing, supporting our town centres and local high streets and creating opportunities for local people but with consideration of the climate and ecological emergency.
