Playgrounds

There are 2 children's playground in the park. One near the Town Gate entrance and one near the Banner's Gate entrance.

Jogging, walking, cycling and horse riding

There are dozens of paths and bridleways running across the park, making it easy to explore the park. A number of running events are staged in the park each year.

There's a 5 kilometre walking route through the park.

Cycling and horse riding are only allowed on the bridleways. Car parks for horseboxes are marked on the park map .

Sailing

You can sail and canoe at Powell’s Pool with the .The club also run learn to sail lessons.

You can kayak and canoe at Blackroot Pool with the . The club also run lessons.

Fishing

Thousands of anglers visit Sutton Park every year. Fishing is permitted in Blackroot, Bracebridge, Powells and Keepers Pools. A close season operates from 15 March to 15June due to the park's status as a National Nature Reserve.

Model aircraft and yachts

There is a model aircraft flying field in Sutton Park. There are rules in place which all flyers must follow. Flyers must be members of the Sutton Park Model Aero Club.

Golf

You can play golf at the 18 hole , located next to Sutton Park.

Orienteering

There are two orienteering courses are in the park. Maps are available from the Visitor Centre.

Orienteering is not permitted between 1 April and 1 September, to prevent disturbance to wildlife.
