Pay a bus lane PCN

The fine for driving in a bus lane or bus-only street is £70, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued. You will not receive points on your licence.

The police can also issue a Fixed Penalty to vehicles which are using a bus lane or bus-only road illegally. Their fine may be for a different amount. If you receive a Fixed Penalty Notice from the police and a Penalty Charge Notice from the council for the same incident, we will cancel the Penalty Charge Notice and you will only have to pay the fine issued by the police.

You will need the 10-digit number listed on your PCN and your vehicle registration number. If you pay within the discount period as shown on the PCN we will apply a 50% discount.

If you have lost your PCN, phone us on 0121 675 2000 (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm).
